Background to consultancy
G4S had identified an opportunity to enhance their end-to-end cash management service, incorporating their existing network of cash handling services with a new generation of hardware and software that could provide a step change improvement in cash handling costs to their clients. In order to begin to validate this strategy with potential suppliers and customers, a solution specification would be required that addressed the entire cash cycle, from cash in transit and vault operations through to settlement and reconciliation processes.

G4S needed to generate high level requirements documents that described the required features of the hardware and solution.		7 Layer facilitated a series of workshops that exposed the required functionality and validated the data flows between each stakeholder in the solution.

G4S needed to generate design concepts for the software solution in order to engage major IT vendors at the right level.		7 Layer provided systems requirements document that could be used as the basis for issuing RFI's.
