Recycling Cash Office launched in Ireland

7 Layer Solutions have utilsed their business expertise in cash processing to apply a currency recycler to the back office operation of retailers. 

 

 Currency recyclers automate the counting of banknote deposits, withdrawals and change transactions while simultaneously providing effective counterfeit detection and secure holding storage for the money. They are controlled via a pc and an associated software application. e software integrates the use of the machin within a business process.

 

Whilst every shopper is familiar wth thes upermarket check-out and has seen the ever increasing use of technology to improve payment operations, few are familiar with what happens to the cash received by the cashier; what goes on behind the scenes. The back-office is where al the physical cash, cheques, vouchers and other pament media have to be reconciled with the values recorded into the Point-of-Sale system; where bank lodegments are prepared; and where till floats are made ready for cashiers to use for change purposes.

The Recycling Cash Office, produced by 7 Layer, brings a new level of cash automation to retailing. It simplifies cash reconciliation whilst speeding up counting and cash dispensing operetions.

7 Layer have worked in partnership with one of the world's leading manufacturers of cash processing machines, to integrate a currency recycler with RCO. Modern recyclers are very compact and are easily installed in any environment. They have high security options such as strongbox, vibration detection sensor, delay timer security, personal password locking and an alarm centre connection system.

By ensuring the accuracy of cash counting and dispensing, and by providing a secure holding unit, in fact by being an 'automated safe', they improve the level of security within the cash office and reduce the associated risks for staff involved in cash handling.

7 Layer have  developed RCO with the aim of marketing it throughout the Eurozone, and initially launched RCO in the Republic of Ireland in order to gauge market demand and user acceptability of the product.
